The coin purse is lined with a patterned cotton lining with a zip closure, so is sure to keep your money and cards safe inside.
The Blackbird is hand drawn and cut from pieces of felt, then using my sewing machine, it is embellished with free motion embroidery detail. This embroidery technique is like drawing with a sewing machine - no embroidery programmes are used, and it is all stitched by eye so each design is slightly different and unique.
The Harris Tweed is bought from a weaver on the Isle of Harris in Scotland. The colours of the cloth are heavily influenced by the landscape and natural world. This lovely blue has flecks of olive green through it reminding me of the sky and a hedgerow brimming with wildlife - the perfect place for a Blackbird to live.
The coin purse measures approximately 12 x 11 cm, and the official Harris Tweed orb label is sewn on the back of the purse.
Harris Tweed is made from 100% wool, so dry cleaning is recommended.
