This square cushion features a Puffin carefully stitched onto deep blue Harris Tweed. Also available in pale blue. It is the perfect gift for Puffin fan or perhaps to remember a happy holiday spent in Scotland.
The Harris Tweed is bought directly from a weaver on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides in Scotland, and the official Harris Tweed Orb label is sewn onto the back. The colour used for this cushion is a deep blue with flecks of olive green running through it. The official Harris Tweed orb label is sewn onto the back. The puffin cushion is also available in pale blue Harris Tweed.
The Puffin is hand drawn and cut from felt, then embellished with intricate free motion embroidery detail. Free motion embroidery is like drawing with a sewing machine - it is all stitched by eye and no embroidery programmes are used, so each design is slightly different and unique.
The cushion measures 40 x 40 cm (16" square) and comes with a removable sheep wool filled cushion pad which is secured inside the cover with two large buttons on the back.
Harris Tweed is 100% pure wool, so dry cleaning is recommended.
