This design features a badger which has been hand drawn and cut from felt, then embellished with free motion embroidery detail. This embroidery technique is like drawing with a sewing machine - it is all stitched by eye so each design is truly unique.
The badger has been lovingly stitched onto a background of red and white herringbone Harris Tweed. I buy the Harris Tweed directly from a weaver on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides in Scotland.
The artwork is framed inside an oval embroidery hoop which measures 11 x 15 cm. It is a very lightweight picture, and can be hung on any wall.
