This medium sized yellow Harris Tweed project bag features a beautiful oyster catcher, carefully stitched onto the front.

The project bag is lined with yellow and white houndstooth patterned cotton lining, and has a zip closure. The bag measures approximately 24 x 18 x 7 cm.
The oyster catcher is hand drawn and cut from pieces of felt, then using my sewing machine, it is embellished with free motion embroidery feather detail. This embroidery technique is like drawing with a sewing machine - no embroidery programmes are used, and it is all stitched by eye so each design is slightly different and unique.
The Harris Tweed is bought from a weaver in the Outer Hebrides in Scotland. The colours of the cloth are heavily influenced by the landscape and natural world. I chose this vibrant yellow as it is a wonderful pop of colour against the oyster catchers back and white feathers. The official Harris Tweed orb label is sewn on the back of the project bag.
Harris Tweed is made from 100% wool, so dry cleaning is recommended.
