This Harris Tweed glasses case features a black faced sheep, carefully stitched onto the front.
The black faced sheep is available on a classic black/grey herringbone or bright yellow Harris Tweed.
An ideal gift for a bespectacled sheep lover, or perhaps the perfect glasses case for yourself to remember a special holiday in Scotland. The case is lined with soft felt, so is sure to keep your spectacles, or sunglasses clean, safe and scratch free.
To make the stitched design, I first draw the sheep and then cut the different colours from pieces of felt. The intricate details are then stitched using free motion embroidery. This technique is like drawing with a sewing machine - every line is stitched by eye which means each design is slightly different and you are buying an original, unique piece each time.
The Harris Tweed I use to make the case is bought directly from a weaver in the Outer Hebrides in Scotland, and the orb label is sewn onto the back.
The case measures approximately 7 x 16 cm.
Harris Tweed is made from 100% wool, and dry cleaning is recommended.
Please get in touch if you would like a different colour, size or design as I can make to order..
